Ornament Magazine, the ETHNOGRAPHIC GROUP, and Sonoran Glass School present the 2020 Tucson Bead Symposium. The Tucson Bead Symposium is an annual event celebrating the history and craft of beads. The theme of the 2020 symposium is “A Sense of Place” where we explore the connection between beads and the places they were made and found. Topics will range from glass chevron beads by glass artist Kevin O’Grady, amber beads from Lithuania by Jamey D. Allen, seed beads from Venice by Nicole Anderson and the production of glass beads in India by Floor Kaspers.
The evening features presentations from collectors, artists, and experts on current and historical trends in glass beads. Glass artist, Floor Kaspers, return as this year’s host. Suggested donation is $5.
