Borosilicate Tubing Basics – Tuesday (March 12)

Tuesday eve. 5:30-9:30
Prerequisite : Intro to Boro, or approval by the instructor

This one day beginner level tubing class immerses students in borosilicate hollow work techniques.

You will learn how to Pull points, blow bubbles, two handed rotation, and make a swan.


Topics covered:

  • Pulling points
  • Blowing a proper bubble
  • Bubble control
  • Two-handed rotation
  • Attaching a punti to a bubble
  • Tearing off

Prerequisite :  Intro to Solid Borosilicate or approval by the instructor.

Material expenses are not included in the class price. Material fee is 10.00 for this class.
What to Wear:
Cotton or natural material tops and pants.  Long pants are preferred.   Close toe shoes.  Hair pulled back.  We have all of the tools you will need to start your journey with flame worked glass beads.  
After your first class you are welcome to sign up for practice time during our discounted open studio times on Wednesdays from 5PM-9PM and  Thursdays from 12PM-4PM.

Class Prices:
Private (1 person): Members $130 | Non-members $180 (2 hour class)
Group (2-6 people): Same price as class price listed.
