Sandblasting is the process of using compressed air and an abrasive to etch the surface of a material. This can be used for a variety of different aspects in glass; cleaning, carving, etching, and creating a matte finish. In this class, we will be covering different applications of masks (tape and glue) that can be used for etching glass designs. This class will get you comfortable with how to correctly operate our Rayzist sandblaster for future projects.

Students will be provided with one glass tumbler to practice masking and etching on. Feel free to bring in one additional piece you would like to sandblast.
