Kiln Carving – Apr 13

April 13, 2017
Thursday 10AM-1PM
See alternate dates below

In this class you will learn to properly cut and stack different thicknesses of fiber paper to create a design that appears to be carved out of the glass after firing. Alysa will also show you how to make a relief paste that can be piped on to create detailed organic impressions in the glass. Each student will create a 12×12 in. design in class that will be fired. Pieces will be available for pick up 3 to 5 days after class. We will also discuss proper glass selection to achieve the best results. No experience required to take this class.
