Prerequisite: Beginning Beads or approval by the instructor.
Learn how to make a multi-layered Mandala beads out of soft glass. Techniques such as dots, dragging, heat control and patience will be taught in this class. Mandala beads can have many layers. The techniques in this class will teach you how to control torch heat while still providing you a lot of time to manipulate the glass.
Color layering is an essential part of a mandala bead and will be discussed in this class. There will be pre-selected color assortments which will allow you to have more time at the torch.
Prerequisite: Beginning Beads or Instructor Approval required to take this class.
Material expenses are not included in the class price. Material fee is 12.00 for this class. There is a min. of 2 students for this class.
What to Wear:
Cotton or natural material tops and pants. Long pants are preferred. Close toe shoes. Hair pulled back. We have all of the tools you will need to start your journey with flame worked glass beads.
You are welcome to sign up for practice time during our discounted open studio times on Wednesdays from 5PM-9PM and Thursdays from 12PM-4PM.
