Precious Metal Clay is pure silver or gold mixed with an organic non-toxic binder. The binder gives the metal the flexibility to be formed, molded, and textured. It is then fired in a kiln where the organic binder burns off and the pure fine silver or gold design remains.
In this class, you’ll create a unique, textured pendant in Precious Metal Clay and learn to bezel-set a glass or stone cabochon.
Day 1: Demo, Intro to Precious Metal Clay. Students will make their pendant base, which will then be fired overnight.
Day 2: Students make a bezel to hold their cabochon and attach to the pendant base. These will be fired over the lunch break after which we will polish the piece and set the cabs.

Materials fee: Approx. $45, payable to instructor. Suggestions for cabochons will be provided upon registration.
This class has a minimum enrollment of six students. If the minimum is not met, the class will be cancelled and the tuition refunded. Thank you.
