Schedule
From Factory to Studio: Glass in America at the turn of the century
As the sun sets we’ll roll out the new Mobile Hot Shop Unit, a glassblowing studio on wheels, to serve as the backdrop for an educational and entertaining demonstration featuring live glass crafting and a lecture on glass in the United States.
*Special Make Your Own Glass Art Experiences
Try out our special, Independence-Day themed experiences offered only for this event. These Make Your Owns will be going on in all studios throughout the evening for ages 5 and up.
*The Star Spangled Paperweight Experience allows attendees to try out our new Mobile Hot Shop Unit firsthand. Choose from a variety of colors, including Red, White, and/or Blue. Our glassblowing artist instructor will be there every step of the way to guide patrons through the process. Paperweights are $25 each, or 2 for $40.
Also in the Mobile Hot Shop is our Make Your Own Glass Tumbler Experience for $55.
Indoors we’re offering a make your own Fireworks Souvenir Sun Catcher where you can make Sun Catchers with a firework design using stringer glass paint. These are $15, or two for $25.
Proceeds from this event support Sonoran Glass School, its programs, and mission to inspire people of all ages to discover the wonder of glass as a visual arts medium.
