CAMP FUEGO at the Sonoran Glass School is back!

Explore glass art in these week-long summer camps! Learn the skills, apply STEM concepts, make projects to take home, and discover your inner creative side. 

Week 1: June 8th through 12th
TEEN (Ages 13-18)
– limited to 8 participants
9am-4pm with a lunch break at 12pm (lunch not provided) 
This summer camp provides teens with a comprehensive, hands-on experience in warm, flame, and hot glass techniques, with individual and collaborative projects. Participants will explore the artistic and scientific aspects of glass art under the guidance of experienced instructors, fostering creativity and teamwork.

Week 2: June 15th through 19th
ADULT (Ages 18+)
– limited to 8 participants
5-8pm
This week-long adult summer camp offers a comprehensive exploration of glass art, covering warm, flame, hot, and cold working techniques for all skill levels. Participants will gain hands-on experience and learn essential safety practices, fostering creative expression and artistic development in a dynamic studio environment.

Week 3: June 22nd through 26th
YOUTH (Ages 8-12)
 – limited to 8 participants
9am-4pm with a lunch break at 12pm (lunch not provided) 
This all day summer camp will reveal the fun of glass while experimenting with STEM concepts. Participants will have hands on experiences in our warm shop with fused and kilnformed techniques, plus glassblowing and torchworking demonstrations. This year, the youth will get a chance to make sand castings in our hot shop, using toys and sculptures to make sand molds! 

Thanks to the generous support of an anonymous donor, we are offering one fully funded scholarship spot to each camp. Interested parties can apply to  using this Google Form to be considered for funding. Applications are due May 1st, 2026 for the 2026 camps.
