We have some of the finest instructors in the industry coming to Sonoran Glass School to share the knowledge they have accumulated over years of dedication to glass. We recommend registering one month or more in advance in order to secure a spot in a class.
Brian Jacobson

Learn about four marble techniques from torchworker Brian Jacobson. Brian will demonstrate and discuss four marble making techniques: hob nail, fume implosion, murrini, and vortex. After, you will be able to try out the techniques using a torch and soft glass. All materials and guided instruction are provided. No previous experience required.
Brian has been working with glass since 2009 and resides in Tucson, Arizona. He is well known for his fillachellos and glass flips using the torch.

Richard Royal

This workshop will include demonstrations and instruction by world renowned artist Richard Royal. He will emphasize and focus on effective and efficient glassblowing techniques to help students realize better versions of their creative ideas. This includes color applications, gathering and clear communication with assistants. Richard will be discussing the originations and processes of his work as it’s being made.
Richard Royal, a native of the Northwest and resident of Seattle, is recognized internationally as one of the most skilled and talented glassblowers in the studio glass movement.
