A series of introductory through advanced glass blowing classes. Begin with no glass blowing experience and progress to more advanced skills.

Class Length 1 1/2 hours – add 1 1/2 hours for each additional person

Introduction to Glass Blowing

Intro I: Gathering & Making Paper Weights
Intro II: Making a Bubble & a Basic Shape

Start with an overview of equipment, shop movement, shop safety, and shop etiquette. Learn the properties of hot glass, how to gather out of the 2,000 degree furnace and how to blow bubbles into hot glass. Also, learn to be a good partner/assistant which is an integral skill for working successfully in a hot shop.

Novice Glass Blowing (Requires completion of Intro I & II or instructor permission)
