Glass At Home is a ten-week virtual art making program where students explore glass art through the school subjects.
Below are highlights of student work, with reflections on their favorite piece and part of the program.

Cody, 1st Grade, The Blue and Green Candle Holder
My favorite piece was the candle holder because it is most like a sculpture. My favorite part of the program was math because it is fun for me and I like it.

Carson, 3rd Grade, The Mount Olympus Palace
My favorite piece was the platter because I got to be creative. My favorite part of the program was the history because I got to learn about the history of glass.

Ceci, 3rd Grade, Magma Blend
My favorite piece was the candle holder because in the past weeks I was using a lot of blues and this week I wanted to use warm colors. My favorite week was week 10 because we got to make the candle holders and that was my favorite piece.

Zoey, 3rd Grade, Seascape
My favorite piece is my landscape platter because it is more detailed than all my other pieces. My favorite activity was the landscape because it was my favorite piece.

Chloe, 3rd Grade, Colors
My favorite piece was the plate because it is different from the other pieces I have made. I liked the mosaics because of the process.

Henry, 3rd Grade, Colorful Glass Candle Holder
My favorite piece was the glass candle holder because it has a lot of color. My favorite week was mosaics because it was different from all of the other projects.

Payton, 6th Grade, Rose
My favorite piece was the candle votive because it looks so cool and so cute and I love it. I was inspired by being kind to all and I was thinking of my friends and family. I enjoy the program because I get to make art pieces for people.

Mia, 10th Grade, Cloudy Days without Rain
My favorite pieces were the magnets because you can do so much with so little. They were simple pieces that allowed me to focus my thoughts into a small area. I didn’t have one favorite week because there was always something new and something different to do each week.

Ana, 1st Grade, The Snow President Duck
My favorite piece was the candle votive because I like the colors in it, and the name! My favorite lesson was the color lesson because I like colors and I learned about what colors make me feel and how some are happy colors and some are sad colors.
