Sonoran Glass School is a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to inspiring people of all ages to discover the wonder of glass art. We teach students and the general public how to create and appreciate glass as a visual arts medium through educational courses, one-on-one experiences, visiting artist seminars, and community events funded by SGS members and supporters.

- Bring in visiting artist lectures and workshops to Tucson
- Develop semester-long programs for youth who face diversity in Southern Arizona

- Create enrichment programming for area youth, seniors, veterans, and first responders.
Sonoran Glass School, a 501(c)(3), nonprofit educational organization, exists because of donations, public grants and private support. Our glass community is dedicated to fostering glass as an exciting and thriving visual arts medium in Tucson. Proceeds from our classes, membership dues, gallery sales, and events support the education and advancement of glass art and glass artists in Southern Arizona
Fall 2024 Fundraising Goal: $75,000
SGS counts on private donations for 25% of its operating budget. We count on YOUR contributions to help us provide:
- The Philabaum Glassblowing Scholarship to Students
- Free and reduced cost classes to Tucson Schools through our Youth Education Program
- Free and reduced cost classes for seniors in our “Creative Aging” Program
- Maintain and improve our facilities.
- Restore the roof of our building and install solar panels
- Provide high level instructors in all areas of the glass arts.
- Bring visiting artists for workshops and lectures.
- Partner with other non-profits and organizations
