Bio
I’ve always had a natural affinity to create. It began with building blocks, then went on to drawings, paintings, and when I was in high school I got a chance to begin work with ceramics. Once I began sculpting three dimensionally, I was compelled by the tangibility of the objects as they could be seen from all sides reflecting light and casting shadows and held. I soon after met a friend who wanted to use a ceramics kiln that I had gotten as a gift, in order for us to both pursue glass blowing. I like many who have experienced this progression from sculpting ceramics to glass was instantly taken by the process. Not only the awe and primal wonder of the fire, but the translucence and play of light that glass offers over any medium out there. It’s been 13 years since I began and I cannot imagine doing anything else.
