Make Your Own Pipe
Description
The Make-Your-Own Pipe is a 30 minute introduction to torchworking.
Using a torch and borosilicate glass you will make a honeycomb pipe. You will pick colors and learn how a honeycomb pattern is made, then assist the instructor in using graphite tools to shape the glass into a functional pipe. All materials and guided instruction provided.
If you are a party of more than one person you must book consecutive time slots to accommodate your group.
Each time slot is 30 minutes. Choose a start time and then an end time for the number of time slots required. You may book up to 4 time slots.
- This experience is restricted to ages 21 and up.
- Please schedule at least 24 hours in advance. Have dates and times that work for you ready.
- Your piece will need to cool down after its made. Completed projects are available for pick up 7 days after the experience date.
- Pieces can be shipped for an additional fee.
Important Notes:
Your safety comes first, so we require that every student at SGS wear closed-toe shoes. Safety glasses are required for some classes (which we’ll provide). Please wear comfortable, cotton clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Depending on the class, students should also tie back long hair and avoid wearing dangling jewelry.
