Introducing our new Friday glassblowing demonstrations. This particular event will be a preview of a new monthly event starting in September in which guest glassblowers visit the Sonoran Glass School for a fiery evening demonstration on the final Friday of every month.

Our first artist in this series will be Alexandria Young, who will be assembling a large lotus flower out of glass. Bring your friends, bring your favorite beverage.

This event is completely free.

About Alexandria Young:

Alex has been drawing, painting and sculpting since she was a small child. She committed full-time to an artistic career after studying science and engineering at the University of Arizona. Her first class in glassmaking was at the Sonoran Glass School in January of 2015. Since then, she has explored every area of glass art with enthusiasm. Alex’s artistic range also includes metalworking, blacksmithing and bronze sculpture.
