Fundamentals of Fused Glass
This exciting 3-week course is the perfect starting point for anyone curious about the captivating world of fused glass. No prior experience is necessary! You’ll learn the fundamentals of this ancient art form, from basic techniques to creative expression.
In this class, you will learn the fundamental concepts necessary to create works made of glass using a kiln to adhere components to each other. You will learn how to cut glass and how to set up glass components properly prior to kiln firing. Additionally, you will learn ideal kiln temperature schedules for different glass processes such as tack fuse, contour fuse, full fuse, and slumping. Safety and coldworking will also be covered. All materials and tools will be provided.
This class will meet on Monday and Wednesday from 10am-noon from February 2nd to 18th, 2026.
