Furnace Glassblowing I Spring 2025 Semester starts February 17th and ends April 23rd (20 sessions), Mondays & Wednesdays, 9:00 AM – Noon
Furnace Glassblowing I is an intensive course that covers the basic principles of glassblowing. Students will gain knowledge working with molten glass along with cold working best practices. Topics and techniques include:
*Glassblowing and Cold Working studio orientations
*Basics in gathering and shaping glass
*Introduction to color applications
*Blowpipe and bubble basics
*Grinding and finishing pieces
