Summer at SGS
Starting July 6th, we will be switching to summer hours and programming! Our Hot Shop will be shut down for the summer, but our warm and flame shop have tons of exciting experiences, classes, and events to check out.
We will be open to the public Thursday 11am-6pm, Friday 11am-8pm, and Saturday 11am-6pm.
Warm Shop
Enjoy our air conditioned studio with a warm shop class this summer! We will have kiln carving, faux stained glass, woven plates, and more!
Cool off with Freeze & Fuse every other Thursday at 11am. You will use glass powder and water to create tiny sculptures. Kids 12+ love this activity!
Make your own experiences are available Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 1pm, 3pm, and 5pm. Make a fused glass artwork with all materials and guidance included. Reserve for up to 8 people, so bring a crew!
Our Friday date nights at 7pm are a private reservation for up to 8 people – bring snacks and a drink to share while you create glass art with a group.
Create y Conversar in a new studio experience on select Tuesdays! Bring a project to work on while practicing your conversational Spanish skills. We will also have small projects available to add on.
Studio + kiln rentals are available Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays or by appointment.
Flame Shop
Make your own experiences are available Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays with 30 minute bookings per person. Make a saguaro plant stake, pendant, mushroom stir stick, marbles, glass orb, pipe, and more!
Take a Fundamentals of Torchworking class Thursday, Friday, or Saturday to develop your skills on the torch with these 1.5 hour sessions.
We have a lot of fun classes on the schedule, with Friendly Food sculptures and a three-part marble series. Our Friday date nights from 6-8pm will have you and a friend making bendy straws, Tiny Dinos, or Shot Glasses.
Studio rentals are available Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays or by appointment.
Torchworkers are invited to Torch and Trade on July 31st from 6-8pm. Chat with other artists and bring small items like marbles or pendants to trade. We’ll have torch spots available if you want to show off your newest skill!
